Farewell to the Chad // November 09, 2008

Posted by Phil Taylor executive pastor

Two years ago, we were nearing the end of our first full year at Terra Nova and I (phil taylor) was praying very specifically that God would raise someone up who could consistently give us about one day in the office each week handling things like BIOS, our weekly email newsletter and GUIDEPAGE, our sunday handout and bill paying/accounting. Out of the blue, Chad Leonard came to me and said that he had just taken a new job that had him working 3-4 really long days with the remaining completely free. I pitched my idea to him and he embraced it completely. Each week, for the last two years, Chad has faithfully prepared Bios and Guidepage and kept our books in order. As a result, I have had a lot more time to dedicate to people and projects at Terra Nova. Chad was a godsend volunteer for a young church.

A few weeks ago, Chad accepted a promotion and this past week he moved to Delaware. He will be missed. If you have a minute, send him an email thanking him for his service over the last two years.

So you might be wondering who will replace Chad? From an accounting standpoint, Paul Gordon will temporarily take over the books. Paul is an Elder in Process at Terra Nova and is heading up resource management which includes the church finances. He’s looking forward to upgrading our systems and taking us to the next level as we continue to grow. Jen Richardson recently agreed to take over Bios and Guidepage for us. God has once again provided for our needs and is replacing Chad with two people!

Thanks for all your help Chad!

Chad, we will miss you! it’s been great getting to know you in Tribe over the past couple of years and seeing you grow in so many directions, with jobs and spirit. Best wishes to you as you move, and keep in touch, knowing you have family here at Terranova. God bless!!

Chad, it was nice reconnecting here at TNC after growing up at PBC. Godspeed on your new adventure.
