It was a very Acts 29 Sunday @ Terra, and I am glad.

Before the service even started, before Deli-icious had yet open, David Pinckney and family came from Concord, NH to hand deliver a check. It was the size you probably like to hand deliver and an amazing gift to receive. It came from the River of Grace Church. {ROG brothers and sisters, thank you! I know pinks was the bag man and you guys decided to give the money. we won’t let you down; we will spend it.}

They did it because they are part of the Acts29 Network. This is the mission group that is the major supporter of Terra Nova. We attend their conferences, I speak @ them, and we are hosting a church planters bootcamp in TRoy, in October. We have a family who is heading to an A29 church in the Carolinas [vintage21 is the church name]. We have people entering film competitions an a29 church is sponsoring. Scott trades comments and ideas with a29 worship leaders. He is missed by them when he is not at the conferences.

When I am talking with a guy who wanted to plant in Maine, I connected him with Angel Silva, an A29 pastor in Portland @ Missio Dei. For me, being A29 is more than the non-existant paycheck, hours of time committment, and Sopranos like title {northeast Captain}. It is real connection. It even comes into our worship services. Btw, next week is one of their bootcamps- training sessions for church planters. It is coupled with what is likely to be the largest gathering of church starters in church history. Check it out @ www.startingchurches.com, and please pray.

The worship team opened with a lyrically powerful call to worship called “Crippled Soul”. That song came of the Sojourn Community Church in Louisville, Ky. We closed with “At Your Feet”, a worship song out of Mars Hill Church in Seattle.

How good it is to have brothers with whom you can live well!

    Ed, I can’t tell you how psyched I am that we are doing the stations of the cross on Friday. Lately, I’ve been finding more and more Scriptural and historically Jewish links to the traditions of the Catholic church. Now if I can only keep my beeper from going off so I can stay…

    What people may not know about the conference that ed mentioned is that he is one of the speakers in the bootcamp, so be praying for him.
